Cahaba makes Sierra Club list

Peggie Griffin, the southeast’s regional represenative for the Sierra Club, announced in Sunday’s newspaper that the Cahaba River has made the Club’s list for the most important places to protect in the next 10 years.

Through Sierra’s “America’s Wild Legacy” report, the Club identified 52 areas that are threatened and must be protected. Griffin sited development as the major threat to the Upper Cahaba Watershed.
