The rise of walkable urbanism
Conservation Alabama is pleased to co-host an upcoming community conversation about walkable urbanism.
Our partners at the Regional Planning Commission of Greater Birmingham will host Geoff Anderson of Smart Growth America and Chris Leinburger of LOCUS from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, January 17 at RPC’s offices (1731 First Avenue North, Birmingham, AL 35203). Admission is free, but please RSVP to cbarton@rpcgb.org. Come learn about new trends that are driving change in the built environment and what those changes mean for Alabama.
Conservation Alabama and the Conservation Alabama Foundation are members and statewide partners of Smart Growth America. They advocate for people who want to live and work in great neighborhoods. LOCUS is a national network of real estate developers and investors who advocate for sustainable, walkable urban development in America’s metropolitan areas. Both organizations are critical national voices for the built environment, just as we advocate locally and statewide for the built environment.
Please join us Tuesday, January 17!
